Job Description

The incumbent for the Software Sales Consultant position is expected to undertake the preparation and planning of the sales process for the following accounting software products:

  • Caseware and Confirmation
  • Kofax and Metrofile

Candidate is expected to have full product knowledge and therefore should be an individual that has drive to self-learn and maximise on learning resources provided by the organization, including being keen to undertake regular refresher product courses as prescribed by the organisations partners. Self-learning and a natural interest in software, not only limited to July 28 product offering, is critical — as the candidate is expected to prospect potential clients, prepare tailor-made presentations, and educate prospective clients on the benefits of the software, how to use it for optimum and business efficiency. A background or keen interest in accounting is advantageous for the candidate as this will be helpful in saving time on training basic accounting profession knowledge and understanding of organization workflows (which are key to the software sales) in their training and induction on the accounting software. In each day, the candidate must be willing and ready to make 40 qualified leads per day – they must be comfortable with making cold-calls in some instances from existing leads an the organizations CRM and the ability ta prospect fresh leads. The ultimate goal for this position is to consistently increase the sales conversation rate and close sales in line with the set targets and Business Development Strategy.

Qualifying criteria which are key to the successful performance of the Software Sales Consultant role at July 28 are:

  • Degree in Marketing or other Sates & Marketing qualification with 5 years experience, a keen interest in technology, the ability to self-teach, highly perceptive & personable and above all you have to love & enjoy selling.
  • A full appreciation and demonstration in understanding of the sales cycle
  • Ability to make a create a power-point presentation and deliver the presentation
