Job Description

National Pharmaceutical Company is a Government owned company that procures, warehouses and distributes medicines and medical supplies to health institutions nationwide. A vacancy of REGIONAL BRANCH MANAGER has arisen within the Company. The company is inviting applications from suitably qualified, self-motivated, honest and experienced individuals who are committed to contributing to an efficient and effective health delivery system in Zimbabwe.


The Regional Branch Manager reports to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the following among other duties:

  • Supervise branch operations
  • Strategy implementation
  • Monitoring and evaluating stock control procedures and scheduled delivery runs
  • Supervising the allocation and distribution of medicines to health institutions in liaison with the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Development partners
  • Supervising the allocation and distribution of medicines across NatPharm branches
  • Supervision of receipts of products
  • Risk management-oversees branch security
  • Managing finances of the branch
  • Human Resources Management
  • Ensuring successful implementation of the Performance Management System
  • Ensure efficiency in delivery and distribution processes for the region
  • Fleet Management
  • Liaison with Health Development Partners

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
  • At least 3 years in a similar or senior management position
  • Additional qualifications such as MBA Degree or Diploma in Management will be added advantages
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Good communication skills
