Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant post of RECORDS AND INFORMATION ASSISTANT – BULAWAYO that has arisen within the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) – an equal opportunity employer.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists Business Partners in registering their companies for purposes of levy collection
  • Creates files for Business Partners, maintains the files and retrieves them both manually and electronically when needed
  • Ensures that records for Business Partners are complete and accurate at any given time
  • Maintains a filling index for easy identification of documents
  • Ensures safekeeping of all records and maintains confidentiality
  • Assists in raising awareness to clients on the mandate of the Fund and the need to register
  • Attempts to resolve clients queries in a timeous manner and escalates when necessary
  • Endeavors to turn all inquiries into potential registrations for purposes of revenue growth

Qualifications, Competencies and Work Experience

  • Higher National Diploma in Records and Information Management
  • A relevant higher qualification will be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of SAP an added advantage
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar position
