MIC Radiology Group is looking for a RADIOGRAPHER

LOCATION : HARARE

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• BSc Honours in Radiography.
• Current full registration.
• 1 years related work experience required.
• Knowledge of RIS/PACS systems and knowledgeable with Radiography equipment
• Passionate about clinical excellence.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assesses patients, their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques;
• Performs a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images and ensures they are archived;
• Ensures that all urgent images taken are brought to the Managing Radiologist’s attention with all the necessary paperwork.
• Examines and undertakes comprehensive investigations of patients, using analytical skills in line with Standard Operating Procedures;
• Recognizes the urgency of the request forms to ascertain the speed at which it should be handled;
• Consults with the patient before the procedure and explains the process to them;
• Provides support and reassurance to patients, considering their physical and psychological needs;
• Accurately positions the patient’s body and makes sure that the radiation levels are safe;
• Manages referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible and safely supervises visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas;
• Observes and implements health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing radiation regulations, for personal protection as well as others.
