Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the position of Programmer. The incumbent will report to the Analyst Programmer and will be based at Head Office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 ‘O’ levels including English Language and Mathematics/Accounts.
  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in programming.
  • Knowledge of ABAP programming is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP Modules is an added advantage.

SUMMARY OF KEY DUTIES

  • Designs and develops ABAP programs in SAP
  • Evaluates, corrects and develops customized SAP programs for users.
  • Documents user requirements.
  • Develops and implements computerized information systems.
  • Develops system interfaces between SAP and other systems.
  • Installs and configures system packages.
  • Resolves system related problems from users as they are received.
  • Conducts user training for in-house system.
  • Develops manuals for in- house development systems and customized SAP programs after completion of new system.
  • Recommends backup strategy to the Computer Systems Manager when there is need.
  • Writes programs in a variety of computer languages, such as C#.net, VB.net and java.
  • Software systems, SAP module Training, support and troubleshooting.
  • Assists with carrying out feasibility study by checking whether the organisation can implement the systems;
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Superior.
