Job Description

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is a statutory body mandated to regulate the Zimbabwean energy market cost effectively, through incentive regulation and in a fair and transparent manner to achieve sustainable energy. ZERA seeks the services of a highly
competent, and results oriented PROCUREMENT CLERK to actively contribute in the execution of this mandate.

Reporting directly to the Procurement Officer.

The Key Job Functions of this position will be:

  • Receiving purchase requisitions in SAP and check whether they have been approved or not.
  • Preparing request for quotations and sending out to suppliers.
  • Receiving quotations and maintaining prices in SAP.
  • Generating Purchase Orders and sending out to suppliers after approval.
  • Supervising the inspection of all suppliers, services and equipment purchased to insure conformance with specifications.
  • Participating in bid opening meetings of Tender Evaluation Committee meetings.
  • Filing of tender documents.
  • Advising Tender Evaluation Committee members on the preparation of Evaluation Reports to meet Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe regulations.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of supplier performance and preparation of procurement reports.

Key Job Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:

  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
  • Bachelor degree in Purchasing and Supply is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in collaborative work environment.
  • Strict adherence to Code of Ethics.
