Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task oriented individuals to fill the position of Health Information Officer:Grade 10 x 1 that has arisen within the City’s Health Services Department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • HND/degree in Health Information
  • HND/degree in records and information
  • Experience in data capturing or typing

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be reporting to the Senior Nursing Officer and will be responsible for:

  • Maintain a timely, accurate, complete and quality rapid disease surveillance system for all City of Mutare clinics.
  • Analysis and verification of weekly clinic data and alert the health executives of any abnormalities for quick intervention.
  • Compiling weekly disease surveillance report for the department and Ministry of Health & Child Care.
  • Support all facilities on Electronic Health Records.
  • Compiling the department’s annual reports.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely capturing of all monthly M & E tools in the DHIS-2 database.
  • Ordering and issuing of clinic stationery.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
  • Compiling monthly reports for council meetings
