Job Description

The National Employment Council for ZIMRA Undertaking is inviting qualified and experienced Zimbabwean citizens to fill in the position of Finance and Administration Assistant which has arisen within the organisation.

Reporting structure

The position reports to the Finance and Administration Officer

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement/requisition of stationery and other office materials
  • Maintaining office files and ensuring confidentiality and security of documents
  • Assists in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Maintaining and accounting for petty cash
  • Stationery inventory control for the organisation
  • Ensure completeness of supporting documentation and preparation of payment requests for the organisation.
  • Administration of organisational assets.
  • Reconcile cash advances and following up on acquittals.
  • Assist with audit preparations and during the external audit.
  • Timely filing of vouchers and accounting records
  • Assists in the logistics needs of all staff pertaining to all travel
  • Ensure that transactions are processed daily into the system and that they are correct and complete
  • Ensure compliance of administration and finance policies and procedures.
  • Provide secretarial and reception support services.
  • Perform any other duties required to assist the organisation in achieving its vision.

Qualifications and experience

  • A Degree or Diploma in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Pastel, Excel Spreadsheets and MS Office a pre-requisite.
  • At least two years’ accounts and administration clerk experience.
