Job Description

The Deposit Protection Corporation (DPC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following positions:

1. COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Suitable candidates should have the following:

  • A Bachelor of Law (LLBS) Degree with a reputable University.
  • Master’s degree a distinct advantage.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Public Entities Corporate Governance Act (PECOGA).
  • Experience in drawing, implementing and updating Compliance Manual in line with the regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to periodically conduct audits and reviews to ensure execution of compliance standards.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience with exposure in the banking sector is an added advantage.

2. BANK RISK ANALYST

Suitable candidates should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Risk Management. Business Studies or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Possession of a postgraduate qualification like MBA, Risk Management. Insurance or Investment Banking a must.
  • Full IOBZ Diploma or Diploma in Risk Management is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrable knowledge, experience & competencies in bank regulation, macroprudential analysis, banking risk management, financial stability assessment and stress testing is a must.
  • A sound understanding of the banking regulatory statutes and all Basel Ill capital requirements.
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Good report writing and analytical skills,
  • High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and pay attention to detail.
  • A minimum of seven (7} years’ experience in banking, microfinance, forensic auditing or regulation of the financial services sector.

3. ACCOUNTANT

Suitable candidates should have the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Studies with a reputable University.
  • Professional Accounting qualification such as CIS, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • Master’s degree a distinct advantage.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
  • Computer literacy including knowledge of Accounting packages e.g. Navision, ACCPAC, Sun systems or Pastel.
  • Skills in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to establish, implement and review financial control systems.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.

4. SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Suitable candidates should have the following: |

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree a distinct advantage.
  • Certificate of Proficiency with Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act o requirement.
  • Professional qualification such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) diploma or equivalent a must.
  • Must be a member of a reputable Procurement body or institute.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Analytical skills with special attention to detail a requirement for the role.
  • High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the procurement function preferably in a Public Enterprise.
