Job Description

Suitable candidates are invited to apply for the vacancy of Customer Engineering Services (CES) Technician in Gweru.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Attending to machinery breakdowns on company or customer installed plants.
  • Continuously identifying and satisfying requirements of both internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring the effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery, ensuring best practice systems, methodologies and procedures are followed in rectifying faults and installations.
  • Effective communication with plant operators and/ or Customers when a shutdown is required to repair a breakdown.
  • Executing repairs and installations efficiently and safely.
  • Ensuring that all customers comply with relevant company policies and procedures relating to SHEQ, Security, access, and Inventory.

Minimum requirements:

  • National Certificate in Machine Shop Engineering
  • Class 1 Journeyman or A degree or National Diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Clean Class 4 Drivers License and a valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
  • Extensive SHEQ knowledge is a must.
  • High level of integrity with excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
