Job Description

SAIH is seeking a consultant or consultancy team to undertake an evaluation of SAIH’s Norec exchange programme. The application deadline is 15 May.

SAIH is seeking a consultant or consultancy team to undertake an evaluation of our exchange programme, Students’ rights, academic freedom and equitable higher education. The programme is financed by NOREC and carried out in collaboration with Equal Education (EE) in South Africa, Youth Empowerment Transformation Trust (YETT) in Zimbabwe and Zambia National Education Coalition (ZANEC) in Zambia

The evaluation will assess expected results of the project so far, as well as some recommendations for further exchange (see attached Terms of Reference). The project takes place in four countries: Norway, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, and the evaluation team must interview partners and stake holders in all four countries.

SAIH is looking to contract a consultant or team of consultants with extensive experience of carrying out multi-country evaluations and with knowledge and sensitivity of SAIH and their partners’ key focus areas such as academic freedom and the right to education.

To apply, please send a proposal for undertaking the evaluation to SAIH’s Norec coordinator, Susanne Brovold Hvidsten at [email protected] by 15th May 2021. Any questions can also be directed at this email address or to Norec resource person Malin M. Steinsland [email protected]

  • A layout and a breakdown of how the consultants understand and plan carry out the assignment.
  • Professional fee quotation indicating envisaged actions, the requested fee for the work in the job description.
