Job Description

The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, mature, honest and substantially experienced persons for appointment of the challenging positions of CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN which have arisen in the Organization. The applicants will be based at the Authority’s various construction sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting water infrastructure surveys and designs
• Project document preparation & construction supervision
• Producing bill of quantities for the estimation of the cost of a given project
• Producing tender documents for a given project
• Overseeing water supply and sewage disposal operations
• Organizing repairs and maintenance of water resources infrastructure
• Report preparation for relevant construction sites and service centers

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Ability to use Auto CAD
• A minimum of three years experience in civil works
• Must be computer literate, honest and capable to work under minimum supervision and must possess excellent communications and collaborative skills
• A clean class 4 driver’s license is an added advantage .
