Chief Security Officer

Job Description

Jena Mines (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Chief Security Officer.

The Chief Security Officer’s Key Responsibilities are:

• Regular review of security procedures
• Develop crime management strategies in dealing with crimes committed against mine property
• Direct investigation
• Advise the Mine Manager on issues concerning security
• Liaise with the local community to ensure cooperation in fighting crime as well as social legitimacy.
• Prepare and control departmental budget
• Develop training programme for the departmental personnel
• Observe SHEQ management systems and legal statutes
• Produce weekly, monthly quarterly and annual reports

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

• Possession of Degree in loss control and risk management or
• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Security Management and
• 5 years of previous experience in the security field 2 of which should be in the police force at sergeant major position or higher.

• Member should be conversant with the Criminal Codification Act
• Knowledge of conflict management
• Team player who has the ability to work in a team and individually as well.
• Effective oral and writing communication skills
