Job Description

Looking for a Chartered Accountant to take on a Stores Manager role for a gold mine and perform the following duties:

  • Achieve zero LTIs in Stores.
  • Maintain min/max stock levels.
  • Daily management and reporting on critical consumables levels, resulting in no work stoppages.
  • Min/max levels are maintained on signed critical spares lists (mechanical, electrical, and mobile equipment)
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions for stores stock.
  • Reconcile, monthly, purchase requisitions generated against purchase requisitions actioned by procurement.
  • Supervise weekly and monthly stock take using Sage generated stock sheets.
  • Run a variance report after stock take and provide sound explanation on any variances.
  • Ensure that Sage system is always up to date on Receipts, stock holding and issues.
  • Ensure that all orders delivered by our truck from Harare have got a packing list.
  • Compile store reports as required from time to time.
  • Ensure that no adjustments are made in Sage without approval of the Finance Director.
  • Report any risks activities to management and make recommendation of suggestions on how to curb such activities.
  • Ensure that all invoices from suppliers are VAT compliant.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date record system.
  • Conduct quarterly performance appraisals for all your subordinates and recommend training programs for the department.
  • Report all stock shortages and stock thefts to the Finance Director.
  • Manage supply chain risk to ensure now operational downtime

Salary US$4200 gross plus benefits
