We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individuals to join our team for the position of Billing Clerk.

Reporting To: Supervisor Billing & Revenue Assurance

Job Description:

The incumbents will report to the Supervisor Billing & Revenue Assurance and key responsibilities includes reconciliations of revenue and suspense accounts, passing of adjustments, preparation of RTGS vouchers, receipting RTGS payments as well as resolving billing queries for clients.

Duties And Responsibilities:


  • Reconciles Debtors’ Control And Revenue Accounts For Completeness
  • Reconciles Provisions Of Debts, Debtors Write Offs And Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Suspense Accounts
  • Prepares Debtors Credit Loss Schedules As Well As Preparation Of Journals And Inputting In The SAP Financial Accounting System.
  • Reconciles Salary Service Bureau And Debt Collectors Commission As Well As The Bulky Bill Accounts For The Government.

Client Relations Management

  • Attends And Resolve External And Internal Client’s Queries Pertaining Telephone Bills And Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Payments.
  • Prints Client Statements Upon Request And Provides Itemized Bills As And When Necessary.
  • Prepares Debit/ Credit Adjustments In Consultation With The Supervisor As And When Necessary.
  • Clears Listed Clients With The Financial Clearing Bureau.

Risk Management

  • Attends To Conference Calls To Verify Allocation Of RTGS Payments To Relevant Regions
  • Contacts Clients Where Incorrect Account Numbers Are Submitted For Data Capturing Completeness
  • Credits Clients’ Accounts With Correct Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Payments During The Same Month For Billing Purposes.
  • Ensures Effective Internal Control Systems Are Maintained And Adhered In Liaison With Finance & Administration Department.

Qualification And Experience:

  • Higher National Diploma In Finance Or Accounting Or Equivalent.
  • A Degree In Finance / Accounting Qualification Will Be An Added Advantage
  • 1-Year Experience In Accounting Environment


  • Strong Business Acumen And Analytical Skills.
  • Good Communication And Interpersonal Skills With Employees And Stakeholders.
  • Ability To Translate Insights Into Action.
  • Ability To Multi-Task And Manage Multiple Priorities.
