Job Description

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is a statutory body and is mandated to regulate the Zimbabwean energy market cost. effectively, through incentive regulation and in a fair and transparent manner to achieve sustainable energy. ZERA seeks the services of a highly competent and results oriented individual to actively contribute in the execution of its mandate in the role of Assistant Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Accountant

The Key Job Functions of this position will be:

• Financial reporting and projecting cash flows;
• Inventory and Accounts section management;
• Ensuring compliance to statutory and Authority’s policies;
• Performing bank reconciliations;
• Debtors and creditors management;
• Asset management;
• Budget management;
• Management accounting;
• Completing and posting parked documents in SAP.
• Supervising subordinates.

Key Job Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Accounting Degree or Full Professional Qualification -ACCA, CIMA or CIS.
• Knowledge of SAP System.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience.
• Must have good communication.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Must be a person of high integrity.
