Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant post of ADMINISTRATION OFFICER that has arisen within the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) – an equal opportunity employer.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and reviews the fixed assets register and participates in asset verification
- Classifies assets the respective classes to ensure all assets are grouped in the correct category
- Creates an asset in the system and updates in the event of changes
- Maintains and updates the master asset register where necessary
- Assesses all assets to ensure that they are still in the right state fora conducive working environment
- Initiates for repairs when necessary and recommends to the Supervisor
- Compiles the asset disposal schedule for future reference
- Assists in the administration of contracts for contracted service providers
- Processes insurance claim forms
- Creates all stock materials in the SAP system for accountability purposes
- Ensures proper reconciliation for all stock items through participating in stocktaking process
- Assists the Procurement Management Unit with goods receipt both physical and capturing in the SAP system
- Monitors performance of staff that directly fall under the purview
- Develops routine and ad hoc reports for submission to the Supervisor
Qualifications, Competencies and Work Experience
- Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Business Management or equivalent degree
- At least 3 years’ experience working in similar position
- Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
- Clean class 4 driver’s license
