Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the post of ACCOUNTS CLERK- MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING x 1.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The position is responsible for capturing of data relevant for production of management accounts, cash reports, flash accounts and other efficiency reports, cost benefit analysis data and variance analysis reports required by management. The incumbent shall report to Financial Controller Management Accounting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Captures daily cashflow data, monthly flash reports, months management accounts.
  • Reconcile the fuel stock account, ZINARA assets, and daily cash flow report.
  • Monthly reconciliation of system stock for all face value documents, toll tokens, tollgate tickets, government receipt book and all other stock items.
  • Responsible for upkeep of the asset register, valuation of assets, transfer of asset, preparation of depreciation journals for the assets and update depreciation and disposal account.
  • Filling management accounting reports and overseeing distribution of board packs.
  • File variance analysis reports and advise on overdue action.
  • Populates variance analysis reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The minimum qualifications for the above post are as follows:

  • 5 O’Levels passes including Maths and English.
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • 1 year relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft excel, word and power point.
