Job Description

The Fintech business is looking for versatile and dynamic Regional Account Executives to join the team. The main purpose of the role is to achieve set merchant, corporates and agents’ sales portfolio targets through account development, sales and account management to drive and sustain superior business performance.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneur-at-heart with fantastic communication skills. You are a highly analytical, critical thinker who has an insatiable hunger to solve problems in a fast-paced environment with the ability to think quickly on your feet and manage through ambiguity and adversity of a quickly growing industry. Additionally, our ideal candidate will have expertise in managing relationships with national key accounts, merchants, corporates, SMEs and informal traders and a wide variety of external stakeholders.

  • Champion new business acquisition by formulating sales plans, conducting marked presentations, assessment surveys and identifying leads in allocated merchants, corporates, agents, and brand ambassadors’ portfolios.
  • Drives revenue generation by negotiating sales deals with channel partners and key accounts in line with sales targets.
  • Meet set customer acquisition , activation and retention targets
  • Tracks sales performance for each merchant/channel partner (brand ambassadors, agents and merchants) and key accounts in line with agreed territorial targets and provides support and incentives for growth.
  • Analyses merchant/channel performance, potential and viability and recommends appropriate action to the business.
  • Prospects for and carries out regular trade merchant/channel visits to track sales performance and manage customer queries.
  • Plans for account growth per individual corporate customer account and maps the distribution of trade.
  • Identify gaps to achieve set distribution benchmark.
  • Influences brand visibility in strategic partners’ centres through providing brand materials to merchants, corporates and agents.
  • Prepare training material and training to call centre teams, brand ambassadors, advisors and branch personnel, and serve as the subject matter expert concerning merchant services.
  • Review, monitor, identify and address variances of actual merchants to the set budget on a monthly basis.
