Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the posts of BANCASSURANCE MANAGERS within the Individual Sales and Marketing Department at ZB Life Assurance. The successful applicants will be based in Harare, Gweru and Bulawayo

Purpose of the Job

To lead a team of sales consultants within a defined geographical region to acquire and retain Individual Life business in accordance with Company objectives by leveraging on bancassurance concepts.

Person Specifications

  • Must be a holder of a Business Degree or Diploma
  • Must have Mathematics and English as “O” level passes
  • Must possess a Certificate of Proficiency
  • Must have Sales Agency experience of at least 3 years
  • Being a member of the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe will be an added advantage
  • Must have Training, communication and report writing skills
  • Must be self motivated with a passion for results

The Job Entails:

  • Compiling the team’s business plans incorporating manpower requirements and new business production and persistency targets for review by Regional Managers
  • Identifying, recruiting and selecting new Sales Consultants in conjunction with Regional Managers
  • Identifying Training needs of Sales Consultants in the team and recommending/conducting  appropriate training
  • Coaching and mentoring Sales Consultants in the team to enable them to achieve the required performance standards
  • Holding of regular meetings with individual Sales Consultants or the entire team to promote effective communication
  • Conducting own selling activities in line with standards set by the Company from time to time
  • Coordinating with ZB Bank staff and management to ensure Sales Consultants have adequate equipment, facilities and support to conduct their duties effectively
  • Enforcing compliance with the provisions of the Agency contract and Agency Code of Conduct by the Sales Consultants in the team
  • Scanning the environment for new economic developments or activities calling for service by the Company
  • Maintaining sound and favorable public relations with communities served by the Company
